Walking Tour of Charleston
A guest favorite by far is Undiscovered Charleston which you can book online. You meet gourmet chef and historian, Chef Parker, downtown at the pineapple fountain and do a walking tour from there, learning about Charleston’s history through a food lens, concluding your tour at a private bistro with a magnificent meal cooked while you watch. (~4 hours).
For a shorter but equally interesting tour, try Two Sisters Tours, 80 Broad Street, 843.270.9945. Both sisters (Therese and Mary Helen) grew up downtown and are incredibly knowledgeable about Charleston history with fantastic stories you will remember long after you have left Charleston.
If you like after dark exploring, take a Ghost and Graveyard Tour, highly rated and less scary with an emphasis on storytelling.

“Paradise Awaits – Pure Bliss for the Whole Family!
This home far exceeded our expectations! The rooms, bathrooms and pool are large and very comfortable. The house was perfect for all three generations that stayed- grandparents on the first floor so minimal climbing, kids enjoyed the pool and “playroom” and bunk beds. The coffee station on the third floor was fantastic as was being able to make a cup and walk out on the balcony to watch the sun come up. The sunset on the lagoon from the back porch swing was so beautiful! The kitchen was perfectly outfitted for all our needs. By far and away the most well-stocked kitchen we have seen for a rental. Being right on the intracoastal waterway made it easy to launch kayaks and paddleboards that were in the garage. And we made great use of the outdoor games in the yard and at the beach!! The owners were helpful and gracious and we felt very welcomed from the moment we arrived. Wonderful holiday for our entire family. Would absolutely stay in this house that feels like a “home” again!”
